Col Ben "Bach" Bishop US Air Force Operational Liaison DARPA

Colonel Benjamin Bishop joined DARPA as a special assistant to the director and U.S. Air Force operational liaison in 2021.

Prior to DARPA, Colonel Bishop served as assistant deputy director, Politico-Military Affairs, Europe/NATO/Russia, J-5, Joint Staff, the Pentagon, and before that as commander, 354th Fighter Wing, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska.

He was commissioned in 1997 as a distinguished graduate of Purdue University’s ROTC program and has also commanded at the Detachment, Squadron, and Group levels.

Colonel Bishop is a graduate of the USAF Weapons School and a command pilot with over 2,700 flight hours, primarily in the F-15E, F-35A, and F-16C/D.
