Dr. Srikanth Saripalli Professor Texas A&M

Srikanth Saripalli is the J. Mike Walker ’66 Professor in Mechanical Engineering department and the Director for Center for Autonomous Vehicles and Sensor Systems (CANVASS) at Texas A&M University. His research interest includes robotic exploration particularly in air and ground vehicles and necessary foundations in perception, planning, and control for this domain. He is specifically interested in field-deployed systems with current focus on high-speed off-road autonomous vehicles, autonomous 18-wheelers and developing algorithms and deploying autonomous shuttles in dense urban environments. He has led several long-term (> 6 month) on-road deployments of autonomous 18-wheeler trucks and slow-moving shuttles in Texas.
