MAJ Patrick Franks is the Regimental Communications Officer for the 75th Ranger Regiment. He has thirteen years of experience in the Army. MAJ Franks commissioned from Mississippi State University in 2009. While he branched Signal, Pat was detailed to the Infantry for his first four years. He deployed twice with the 10th Mountain Division to Afghanistan in support of International Security and Assistance Forces. MAJ Franks led a Rifle Platoon through Counter Insurgency Operations and was an Operations Advisor to the Afghan Army’s 201st CORPS. MAJ Franks transitioned to the Signal Corps in 2014. Pat commanded the 58th Signal Company in the 101st Airborne (Air Assault) from 2015 to 2017. After command, MAJ Franks assessed and was selected for service in the 75th Ranger Regiment. MAJ Franks is a graduate of the Air Command and Staff College’s Joint All-Domain Strategist course (JADS). After JADS, MAJ Franks again assessed and was selected to be the Regimental Communications Officer. He has deployed three times with 75th Ranger Regiment in support of Operation FREEDOM’S SENTINEL. He is married to Lauren Franks, and they have three children: Ford (6), Luke (3), and Ellie Kate (10 mon).
