Mr. Steve Gribschaw is a special assistant to the DARPA director, focused on transitioning Strategic Technology Office (STO) capabilities to the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. Previously, he was the Chief of Staff to the DARPA STO director.
Prior to joining DARPA, Mr. Gribschaw was an officer on the Department of the Army staff in the Emerging Technology Office of the Operations, Plans, and Training directorate. In his most recent role as the sensitive activities branch chief, he provided regulatory oversight of sensitive program security, development, and budget execution. Mr. Gribschaw also served as a research fellow on the Chief of Staff of the Army’s Operation Iraqi Freedom Study Group, a Defense Foreign Liaison officer at the Defense Intelligence Agency, and the team chief for the Afghanistan Threat Finance Cell. During a break in service from 2007 to 2010, he was a Territory Manager and Process Improvement Manager for AmeriPath. Prior to his break in service, he was an Infantry officer assigned to the 3rd Infantry Division, the 11th Infantry Regiment, and the 101st Airborne Division.
Mr. Gribschaw received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1997 and a Master of Science of Strategic Intelligence from the National Intelligence University in 2012. He is currently an MBA candidate in the University of Virginia Darden School of Business executive program.
